Sukabumi, West Java, March 7, 2026 - Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Wamendikdasmen), Fajar Riza Ul Haq, emphasized that the People's School (Sekolah Rakyat) is one of President Prabowo Subianto's flagship programs, reflecting the institutionalization of the fifth principle of Pancasila, Social Justice for All Indonesians. This is reflected in the expansion of educational access for children from vulnerable families.
According to Deputy Minister Fajar, the People's School demonstrates the government's presence in ensuring that children from difficult socioeconomic backgrounds continue to have the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve a better future. Therefore, he called the People's School a brilliant initiative by President Prabowo, a golden bridge for children to transform their future through education.
"This People's School is a golden bridge for these children, initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. Take full advantage of this opportunity to become great people who can make their parents proud and help others," said Deputy Minister Fajar during a visit to the People's School in Cibadak, Sukabumi Regency, Friday (March 6). He also spoke with the Principal of Sukabumi Junior High School (SRMP) 7, Ihsan Alma'ruf, and greeted the students in class.
During the dialogue, Deputy Minister Fajar also asked about the students' learning activities. One student explained that they were studying coding as part of their future-oriented education. He was impressed by the students' enthusiasm and aspirations. During the conversation, the students shared their various dreams, from attending a prestigious university to becoming a doctor, to studying in Japan and even England to explore the football industry.
"These students' aspirations are extraordinary. Never hesitate to dream big. Keep learning, because the future is within reach for anyone willing to work hard. Success isn't determined by family background, but by character and good habits. The hallmarks of successful people are diligent study, discipline, hard work, honesty, devotion to religious beliefs, and a passion for helping others," said Deputy Minister Fajar.
On that occasion, he advised that the 7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children (7 KAIH) and Great Indonesian Children's Gymnastics (SAIH) could be implemented in Elementary Schools as part of the Ministry of Education and Culture's priority program, especially with the boarding school system which he considered very possible for these habits to be implemented consistently.
On the same occasion, Ihsan Alma'ruf stated that the junior high school currently has around 100 students, representing various sub-districts. These students, who come from vulnerable family backgrounds, are now growing in confidence and experiencing a better learning environment, supported by adequate educational facilities provided by the government.
Closing his visit, the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education encouraged the students to take full advantage of the educational opportunities they receive. "The students here have a very valuable opportunity. Study hard, achieve your dreams as high as possible, and one day become people who can help others and benefit the nation," Fajar said.*** (Writer: Deputy Minister Fajar Team / Editor: Denty A., Seno H. / Photographer: Morecka)
