The Education House Opens Opportunities for Teachers to Develop Enjoyable Learning Methods

Jakarta, October 15, 2026 - The use of educational technology opens up opportunities for teachers to develop more varied and enjoyable learning methods for students. These benefits were felt by teachers representing schools in the Central Jakarta area who participated in the Sapa Sekolah Rumah Pendidikan (School Greetings) activity organized by the Data and Information Technology Center (Pusdatin) of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) at SMAN 1 Jakarta (10/14). Through this activity, the teachers gained inspiration to present materials more interactively and adapt learning activities to students' needs.

One of the benefits teachers experienced was an increased choice of learning strategies they could implement in the classroom. During this activity, teachers had the opportunity to practice the station rotation method, a learning method that involves several activity stations that encourage students to actively participate in understanding the material.

Jody Hendriyono Siringoringo, an Indonesian language teacher at Budi Mulia High School in Jakarta, said that the activity inspired him to make learning more interactive using digital interactive boards through the Rumah Pendidikan platform, with more structured and easy-to-implement materials.

"As a participant in today's Education House, I gained several benefits that made it easier for me as a teacher to teach in class, making it more interactive, with more organized and clearer materials that we can apply in learning, especially in Indonesian," said Jody.

According to Jody, the station rotation method can help maintain student engagement throughout the learning process. By dividing activities into stations, students not only receive teacher explanations but also participate directly in solving learning challenges.

He plans to apply this approach to Indonesian language learning, for example, when studying the structure of expository texts or historical narratives. Students can move from one station to another to identify text structures, such as orientation and conflict, while also learning the language rules.

"That really makes it easier for students to be more interactive. I've actually done it before, just with a different name. It keeps students in class from getting sleepy or bored. Even with games like that, they can still focus on achieving their learning goals," he said.

In addition to gaining inspiration on learning strategies, teachers also had the opportunity to explore the use of technology to support the learning process according to the characteristics of their subjects. One such example was expressed by Wachjoedi, a music teacher at SMAN 1 Jakarta, who stated that the internship provided new insights, including in music teaching. "As a music teacher, I got the idea to vary my teaching methods and utilize technology to monitor student activities and work results through the Rumah Pendidikan platform," he said.

According to him, the use of technology allows teachers to review student work in the form of files or data without having to be present. This can help teachers monitor the learning process more flexibly while also providing students with the space to learn using an approach that suits their needs.

Wachjoedi's experience demonstrates that utilizing Rumah Pendidikan can support the development of more diverse learning practices. In addition to providing access to various learning features, the opportunity to share experiences and try out teaching strategies can also help teachers find approaches relevant to their respective subjects.

The use of the Education House is expected to help teachers create learning experiences that provide greater space for student engagement. Through varied methods and the use of appropriate technology, the learning process is expected to not only help students understand the material but also encourage them to be more active in their learning. ****(Author: Ririn/Editor: Destya/Seno H.)****
