Universal Participation Presents Relevant and Meaningful Digital Content for Equality Education

Jakarta, June 4, 2026 – Digital transformation in education is not only about bringing technology into the classroom, but also ensuring that every student receives material relevant to their lives. This spirit is what prompted the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), through the Directorate of Non-Formal and Informal Education (PNFI), to invite various parties to collaborate in developing interactive digital learning content for equivalency education.

Through universal participation, the PNFI Directorate opens up collaborative spaces for tutors, learning facilitators, Learning Activity Center (SKB) managers, Community Learning Activity Centers (PKBM), academics, practitioners, communities, and the general public to contribute to providing more contextual, inspiring, and useful learning materials.

The focus of this content development is empowerment and skills. The resulting materials are expected to not only enhance the learning process but also provide tangible resources that can help students improve their abilities, self-confidence, and quality of life.

PNFI Director, I Gusti Made Ardana, emphasized that equivalency education has different characteristics from formal education. Therefore, the learning approach used also needs to be adapted to the needs of students. "Digitalization in equivalency education is not just transferring teaching materials from books to mobile screens. Students in Package A, Package B, and Package C programs have unique needs. They require materials that are close to everyday life, applicable, and able to support economic and social independence," said I Gusti Made Ardana in the socialization of "Universal Participation in the Preparation of Interactive Content for Empowerment and Skills for Equivalency Education", Wednesday (3/6).

According to him, the government alone cannot meet the need for diverse and high-quality learning content. Therefore, community involvement is key to providing richer, more relevant materials that are aligned with the realities faced by students in various regions. "Educational content development is a collaborative effort. We invite all parties to contribute their ideas, creativity, and best work so that students in equivalency education can have a more meaningful and relevant learning experience," he said.

During the socialization, participants were also introduced to a guide for developing interactive content, which will serve as a shared reference. This guide is designed to ensure that each piece of content developed has good substantive and technical quality, is safe to use, and can be integrated into the Rumah Pendidikan ecosystem. The government is also continuing to strengthen the Rumah Pendidikan platform, particularly the Ruang Murid feature, to ensure more inclusive and equitable access to digital learning for all students in Indonesia.

This step aligns with the implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2025 concerning the Acceleration of Digitalization of Learning. Going forward, the resulting content will enrich various digital learning resources that can be utilized in the learning process, including through the Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) that has been distributed to various educational institutions.

With a growing selection of content, learners are expected to enjoy a more immersive and enjoyable learning experience through various formats, such as educational games, virtual simulations, and other interactive media. Furthermore, through multi-stakeholder collaboration, the PNFI Directorate hopes that the digital transformation of non-formal education will not only deliver technology but also open up more opportunities for learners to develop, empower themselves, and achieve a better future.

Later, a total of 135 selected contents consisting of 35 Package A contents, 40 Package B contents, 60 Package C contents will be announced on July 8, 2026.*** (Author: Denty / Documentation: Kemendikdasmen Team)
