SNT 7 Bogor Builds Students' Dreams and Potential through STEAMS Learning

Bogor Regency, West Java, October 9, 2026 - Integrated National Schools (SNT) provide a space for students to develop their potential, interests, and talents while simultaneously realizing their dreams. Together with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Sugiono, accompanied by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti, they visited Integrated National School (SNT) 7 Bogor to directly observe various student works and learning activities and also to engage in dialogue regarding the development of SNT students' potential, interests, talents, and dreams.

On that occasion, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti stated that SNT was President Prabowo Subianto's initiative to provide educational services tailored to the talents and abilities of children with exceptional potential. He stated that SNT's existence is part of the effort to build Indonesia's golden generation by 2045.

"This Integrated National School is a big idea from President Prabowo Subianto so that children with special talents can be provided with educational services according to their talents and abilities," said Abdul Mu'ti, Wednesday (7/10).

He also conveyed that SNT students have a long journey to develop themselves and realize their dreams. He encouraged them to make school a place to build their future, do their best, and be the best. " Have a dream , dream, your future starts from here ," the Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education said. "Therefore, do your best , be the best , do your best, and be the best."

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Sugiono personally observed the work, creativity, courage, and skills of the students of SNT 7 Bogor. Sugiono encouraged all SNT students to never stop dreaming and to never abandon their hopes and aspirations. He advised them not to give up in the face of challenges, emphasizing that the process requires learning, building good friendships, and perseverance.

"I thank you for providing such incredible inspiration. You show that no dream is impossible. Never stop dreaming, and never abandon your hopes and aspirations. Nothing is impossible as long as you study hard, make good friends, and persevere, as diligently as the waves erode the coral," Sugiono explained.

Developing Students' Potential and Ambition through STEAMS

In addition to developing interests and talents, SNT provides opportunities for students to apply their knowledge through project-based Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics, and Sport (STEAMS) learning. One such project is Smart Perimeter: Explore, Detect, and Protect the Indonesian-Singaporean Sea Border, developed in a group by Daffa Lingga Pratama, a 10th-grade student.

This project integrates Pancasila Education, Physics, Informatics, and Coding by addressing issues in border areas. Together with his group mates, Daffa developed a prototype that can detect approaching objects and provide warnings through lights and buzzers . "Our goal in creating this project is to help in border areas. So if an object approaches, a sound will be emitted and the lights will turn on as a sign of danger," explained Daffa.

Danesh Chayra, who aspires to become a cybersecurity expert, had a similar experience. He felt SNT provided a platform to support his aspirations through coding extracurriculars, Coding and Artificial Intelligence (KKA) courses, and computer science.

The STEAMS approach allows Danesh to learn through projects and connect knowledge to environmental issues. One example is a nutmeg processing project that utilizes the potential of the Bogor region. This approach makes learning more enjoyable because students aren't just stuck in textbooks.

"I think this approach makes learning more exciting because we're not stuck with textbooks. There are lots of activities outside of class, where we create projects and research interesting topics," said Danesh.

The two learning experiences mentioned above are part of SNT's support in preparing students for the future. In addition to project-based learning, SNT students also receive mentoring through the development of future proposals, SMART goals , and emotional regulation coaching. They are also supported by learning resources such as laptops for each student. (Writer: Destya/Editor: Destian/Photographer: Ikram)
