Bogor Regency, October 7, 2026 - At Cirimekar 02 Public Elementary School in Bogor Regency, a previously damaged classroom has been repaired, and learning is taking place using interactive screens. At the school, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen), Abdul Mu'ti, accompanied the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK), Sugiono, to directly review the implementation of the government's priority education programs on Wednesday (October 7).
The visit provided an opportunity to observe the results of the Revitalization of Educational Units and the utilization of the Digital Learning program. The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture and the Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education inspected the condition of the school before and after the revitalization, observed classroom learning, and shared a meal with the children under the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. The two ministers' arrival was greeted enthusiastically by the students. The children eagerly greeted and shook hands, while also showing off their now more comfortable learning spaces.
Minister Mu'ti also reminded students to take advantage of the increasingly better learning environment by increasing their enthusiasm for learning. "If the school is good, you have to study hard," she said.
The principal of Cirimekar 02 Public Elementary School, Bagus Eko Kurniawan, stated that the school's condition before the revitalization was quite concerning. Classrooms leaked, the ceiling was severely damaged, and the floor was also damaged. Through the revitalization program, with assistance worth Rp951,543,177, the school received the rehabilitation of three classrooms and a health center (UKS), the construction of toilets and sanitation facilities, and the construction of an administration room.
Bagus said the improvements not only changed the physical condition of the school but also made teaching and learning activities more efficient. Teachers, students, and parents welcomed the changes.
"The revitalization has had a significant impact on the facilities and infrastructure at our school, enabling learning to run smoothly," Bagus said.
The students echoed this sentiment. When asked about the school's condition after the revitalization, they enthusiastically expressed their happiness because they now have a more comfortable learning space. For them, the simple changes seen in the classroom are immediately noticeable in their daily lives.
One of the sixth-grade students, Muhammad Ghazy Alfarizki, said the renovated classroom has made the learning environment more comfortable than before. "It's more comfortable now!" Ghazy said.
In addition to revitalization, Cirimekar 02 Public Elementary School also received a Learning Digitalization program in the form of an Interactive Flat Panel (IFP). The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture observed firsthand how the device was used in learning. Students enthusiastically participated in the activities, paying attention to the material displayed on the screen and interacting throughout the learning process.
Fifth-grade teacher Satya Dewanta said the IFP has been used for about a year to meet learning needs. Science is one of the subjects that frequently utilizes the device, including for visualizing body parts, sound, light, and various other materials.
According to Satya, using IFP makes learning feel more relevant to the daily lives of children who are already accustomed to interacting with digital devices. "They're more confident in expressing their opinions. Their motivation to learn is further stimulated by IFP," he said.
A visit to Cirimekar 02 Public Elementary School demonstrated how the revitalization and digitalization of learning programs are directly present in the school environment. Improved classrooms provide comfort for students and teachers, while the use of technology opens up a more interactive learning experience for students. *** (Writer: Stephanie / Photographer: Ikram / Editor: Ririn)
