The Ministry of Education and Culture Encourages Teachers to Optimize the Use of IFP in Learning through Independent Training

Jakarta, February 14, 2026 — The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is committed to ensuring the maximum utilization of Interactive Flat Panels (IFP)/Interactive Digital Boards (PID). Through the Center for Data and Information Technology (Pusdatin), Kemendikdasmen is holding an Independent Training Release Webinar on the topic "Utilizing Digital Interactive Boards in Learning."

This activity is part of an effort to accelerate the digital transformation of education by optimizing the PID that has been distributed to educational units. Through Independent Training in the Rumah Pendidikan GTK Room, teachers are encouraged to utilize PID not just as a technological device, but as a pedagogical tool capable of delivering interactive, collaborative, and student-centered learning. Through this training, teachers can flexibly access materials through the Rumah Pendidikan GTK Room using a belajar.id account. The training materials include an introduction to PID features, interactive pedagogical strategies, and practical implementation in the classroom.

The Director General of Vocational Education, Special Education, and Special Services Education, Tatang Muttaqin, emphasized the importance of technology's relevance to future needs. "Digital Interactive Boards must be a bridge for transforming learning that is relevant to future needs and the world of work," he said in a webinar broadcast live on the Ministry of Education and Culture's YouTube channel and attended by teachers, principals, supervisors, and education personnel from across Indonesia.

The Director General of Teachers, Education Personnel, and Teacher Education, Nunuk Suryani, emphasized that digital transformation hinges on teachers' readiness and willingness to continue learning. "Educational transformation begins with teachers who are adaptive and continuously learning. Technology will have an impact when it is utilized to deliver student-centered learning," she said.

This Independent Training does not provide a certificate. After completing all learning modules, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion of the Training Topic as proof of participation and completion of the program. This training is designed with a primary focus on strengthening teacher competencies, deepening understanding of PID utilization practices, and providing concrete steps that can be taken to make a real impact in the classroom. More than just administrative evidence, this training emphasizes changes in mindset and teaching practices that directly impact student learning.

The Director General of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education, Gogot Suharwoto, emphasized the importance of concrete implementation in the classroom. "The equipment is available, the content has been prepared, and the training has been launched. Now the key is how teachers utilize it to strengthen the quality of classroom learning," he emphasized.

Furthermore, the Director of Elementary Education Teachers, Rachmadi Widdiharto, stated that training must be followed by ongoing practice and reflection. "Training must be followed by ongoing practice and reflection so that the use of technology truly impacts the quality of learning," he explained.

On the same occasion, the Director of Vocational High Schools, Arie Wibowo Khurniawan, emphasized the relevance of PID in vocational learning. "In vocational schools, the Digital Interactive Board enables industrial simulations and presentations of work-based projects, making learning more authentic and efficient," he said.

The Ministry of Education and Culture's Data and Information Technology Center (Pusdatin) is committed to continuously strengthening digital literacy and cross-stakeholder collaboration to ensure that the digital learning transformation is inclusive, equitable, and has a real impact on improving the quality of education in Indonesia. The Head of the Ministry of Education and Culture's Data and Information Technology Center, Yudhistira Nugraha, who also acted as moderator in the webinar, emphasized that digitalization of learning must be built as a complete ecosystem. "Digitalization of Learning is not just about providing devices, but building an ecosystem that encompasses technology, content, and teacher competencies in a sustainable manner," he said.*** (Author: Pusdatin Team / Editor: Denty A., Seno H. / Documentation: BKHM Team)
