From 2020 to the 2023/2024 academic year, the Independent Curriculum has been implemented in more than 300,000 schools in Indonesia. The government, through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), then issued Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Permendikbudristek) Number 12 of 2024, providing certainty regarding the direction of education policy in Indonesia. Through this Permendikbudristek, educational units can plan and implement learning processes in accordance with the Independent Curriculum.
